    The proposed action is to hydraulically or mechanically dredge the Wormley Creek Channel located at the United States Coast Guard Training Center in Yorktown, Va., to a maintained depth of -7 feet mean lower low water (MLLW) plus -2 feet paid overdepth and -1 foot non-paid overdepth for a maximum depth of -10 feet MLLW. Dredging of the Wormley Creek Channel will remove approximately 75,000 cubic yards of dredged material in approximately 6.8 acres.

    The City of Newport News proposes the construction of a new connector road to be named Independence Boulevard in the northern end of the city connecting Fort Eustis Boulevard with Denbigh Boulevard. The project is located in wetlands connected to Stony Run, a tributary of the tidal Warwick River, in Newport News, Virginia.

  • NAO-1990-2297 - Maplewood Landfill

    Expiration date: 2/8/2016

    The applicant proposes to construct a 40-foot overhead utility line corridor to provide electricity to operate two new sump pumps for leachate management to new cells at the Maplewood Landfill and to complete construction of the perimeter road previously permitted but not completed prior to permit expiration. The project is located on Maplewood Branch a tributary of the Appomattox and James Rivers and the Chesapeake Bay of at the intersection of U.S.n360 and Maplewood Road in Amelia County, Virginia.

  • NAO-2013-02285 Odd Fellows Road and Route 460 Interchange

    Expiration date: 2/6/2016

    The applicant proposes to place fill material in waters of the United States (U.S.) to construct a road in two segments. The primary purpose for the project is to address existing and future operational safety, access, economic development and system connectivity needs in the eastern part of the City of Lynchburg at Odd Fellows Road and Route 460.

  • NAO-2015-2184/15-V1792

    Expiration date: 2/1/2016

    The City of Virginia Beach proposes to hydraulically dredge navigable channels in Lake Rudee in order to restore residents' safe access channels. Additionally, the city proposes to remove accumulated sediment in the channels and in the access basins around private owner’s docks, piers, and similar facilities. Public comment period ends Feb. 1, 2016.
