    PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE: The City of Virginia Beach (City) proposes to permanently impact 0.04 acres of palustrine emergent (PEM) wetlands, 1.19 acres of estuarine emergent (EEM) wetlands, 0.01 acres of estuarine scrub shrub (ESS) wetlands, 4.06 acres of open water, 0.16 acres of tidal ditch, and 0.23 acres (1,277 linear feet) of nontidal, jurisdictional ditches to provide stormwater storage for flood mitigation at the Bow Creek Golf Course, 3425 Club House Road in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The necessary grading and filling associated with the construction of the planned stormwater storage and park amenities will cause the proposed impacts to Waters of the U.S., including wetlands.

    Expiration date: 9/14/2022

    Matan Northlake II Industrial, LLC proposes construction of a 200,000 square foot warehouse and distribution facility, loading dock, site access road, fire access road, stormwater management facilities, parking, and utilities to provide warehouse space in the greater Richmond area. The project will permanently impact 1.79 acres of palustrine forested wetlands. Comments should be received by the close of business on September 14, 2022.

  • NAO-2022-00773: Proposed Reissuance Norfolk District Regional Permit 20

    Expiration date: 8/30/2022

    The Norfolk District proposes the reissuance of Regional Permit 20 (RP-20), scheduled to expire on October 15, 2022. RP-20 authorizes the creation of artificial reefs (oyster and fish haven) and dredging of old shellfish reefs, when the material, dredge shell or structural, will be used to create new or enhance existing natural or artificial reefs owned, operated or managed by the Commonwealth of Virginia by the Virginia Marine Resource Commission (VMRC).

    The Lotz Family Limited Partnership seeks to construct a 43 lot single family home subdivision in Yorktown to meet a current housing demand in York County. The development will result in the loss of 1.86 acres of forested wetland and 102 linear feet of perennial stream across nine impacts areas on site for lot creation and associated infrastructure, as shown on the attached plans. The applicant plans to mitigate their impacts through the purchase of mitigation credits. Comments should be received by the close of business on September 12, 2022.

    Matan Companies proposes to construct the Port 460 Logistics Center comprised of ten large-volume industrial warehouse and distribution buildings and 5 commercial retail buildings in Suffolk, Virginia. The project would result in the permanent loss of 5.23 acres of non-tidal wetlands (4.01 acres of non-tidal emergent wetlands and 1.22 acres of non-tidal forested wetlands), 4875 linear feet (0.11 acres) of non-tidal streams, and 1.9 acres of non-tidal open water. Comments should be received by the close of business on September 05, 2022.
