    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will prepare an Environmental Impact Statement to evaluate project alternatives and the public interest review factors for the Virginia Electric Power Company proposal known as Surry – Skiffes Creek – Whealton Aerial Transmission Line “Project”. This notice serves to announce a public scoping meeting July 17, 2019, 5 - 8 p.m., at the Doubletree by Hilton Williamsburg located at 50 Kingsmill Rd, Williamsburg, Virginia 23185. The Corps will use the comments to assist in identifying the significant issues, which should be addressed in a Draft Environmental Impact Statement.

    Seefried Development Services is proposing to construct an 820,000 square foot fulfillment center at 2020 Northgate Commerce Parkway in Suffolk, VA. The project will directly impact 5.84 acres of palustrine emergent wetlands, 2.25 acres of palustrine scrub-shrub wetlands, and 1.03 acres of palustrine forested wetlands, located within the Bennett Creek/Nansemond River watershed. The public comment period ends on July 5, 2019.
