    The Hampton Roads Connector Partners proposes to expand the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel (HRBT) by widening Route 64 for approximately 9.9 miles from Settlers Landing Road in Hampton to the I-564 interchange in Norfolk, Virginia. The project involves the construction of new bridges over Hampton Roads/lower James River, two new bored tunnels, expansion of the existing portal islands, and widening of the Willoughby Bay trestle-bridges, Bay Avenue bridges, and Oastes Creek bridges. The project will create an eight-lane facility with six consistent use lanes, including two new High Occupancy Toll (HOT) lanes.

    Arcola Limited Partnership proposes the modification of the existing authorized Arcola Center permit to include additional impacts associated with the construction of a data center campus on 134 acres west of the intersection of Evergreen Mills Road (Route 621) and Loudoun County Parkway (Route 606) in Loudoun County, Virginia. Additional permanent impacts of 0.68 acres of palustrine forested (PFO) wetlands and 0.55 acre (2,082 linear feet) of stream channels are planned. Comments are due May 13.

    The Norfolk District Regulatory Branch is soliciting comments on the proposed issuance and re-issuance of the following Regional General Permits (RP): RP-01 and RP-11, both for use by the Virginia Department of Transportation. The Norfolk District issues Regional Permits for a category of activities in Virginia that would result in minimal environmental impacts and are not contrary to the public interest. The purpose of Regional Permits is to improve regulatory consistency, enhance program efficiency, avoid duplication with other agencies, and simplify the permitting process for the regulated public.

    Decision Document 17-RP-20 - 10/30/2017: The purpose of this Public Notice is to inform the public that we have posted our Combined Decision Document (CDD) for the reissuance of the 2017 Regional Permit 20 (17-RP-20). This decision document constitutes the Environmental Assessment, 404(b)(1) Guidelines Evaluation, Public Interest Review, and Statement of Findings for the reissuance of 17-RP-20.

    The Norfolk District announces the reissuance with minor revisions to better describe authorized activities of Regional Permit 20 (17-RP-20). The re-issued 17-RP-20 is effective October 16, 2017, and expires October 15, 2022, unless otherwise suspended or revoked. 17-RP-20 authorizes the creation of artificial reefs (oyster and fish haven) and dredging of old shellfish reefs, when the material, dredge shell or structural, will be used to create new or enhance existing natural or artificial reefs owned, operated or managed by the Commonwealth of Virginia by the Virginia Marine Resources Commission (VMRC).
