  • NAO-2016-1202(DMMA) NAO-2008-01451 (Maintenance Dredging)

    Expiration date: 2/21/2018

    Dominion Electric and Power Company proposes to perform maintenance dredging within an existing intake channel in the James River at the Surry Nuclear Power Station. The dredged material will be placed at a new upland 54-acre Dredged Material Management Area (DMMA) located approximately 4 miles south of the power station. Comments are due by the close of business on February 21, 2018.

    The applicant is proposing to construct a single family residential development at a site generally located on the south line of Route 673, northwest of Route 614, in Goochland County, Virginia. The project is being evaluated under the State Program General Permit. The Corps has determined that the project will have an adverse effect on-site a log house determined to be eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. The Corps, Virginia Department of Historic Resources, the permittee and other consulting parties are proposing to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
