  • NAO-2024-01631 (Country Club of Virginia, Richmond, Virginia)

    The Country Club of Virginia – Tuckahoe Site is proposing to reshape and existing pond within the golf course by excavating upland soil and then placing this soil within the pond in a different location as well as maintenance of an existing outfall structure at 101 Daniels Road, Henrico County, Virginia.

  • CENAO-WRO (Coastal Seaplane)

    Expiration date: 11/4/2024

    The Proposed Action is for Coastal Seaplanes to establish a commercial seaplane enterprise that will operate in the Elizabeth River and the York River in Virginia under current seaplane policy pursuant to 36 CFR § 328. This regulation requires the commercial operation of seaplanes from federal project waters to obtain written approval of the District Engineer following consultation with and the necessary clearance from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and other appropriate public authorities and affected interests.

  • NAO-2024-2434 (Berry Hill Extension, Pittsylvania, Virginia)

    The applicant for this project is the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). VDOT is proposing to expand the existing Berry Hill Road to 4 lanes from the intersection of Oak Hill Road and Berry Hill road 2.3 mile to the new Berry Hill Connector in Pittsylvania County, VA. The public notice is dated September 30, 2024 and the comment period will end October 30, 2024.

  • NAO-2020-00850 (Leesville Hydroeletric Plant, Gretna, Virginia)

    Expiration date: 10/20/2024

    As part of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) license for Appalachian Power Company's (APCo) Smith Mountain Hydroelectric Project, APCo has a debris management plan that is part of its FERC license requirements that assigns certain responsibilities for management, collection, and removal of debris from the Smith Mountain Project including Leesville Reservoir. The proposed project seeks to fulfill that responsibility by constructing a floating boom system to manage debris more efficiently. The debris being transported into Leesville reservoir from the Pigg River is estimated to be 65-75% of the debris load entering the reservoir.
