The James River Water Authority is requesting a Nationwide Permit #58 for the construction of a new raw water intake off the James River with associated transmission infrastructure that runs to an existing interconnection point near the Town of Columbia. The water supply infrastructure will service both Fluvanna and Louisa Counties. Public comment should be received by the close of business on December 22, 2023.

The Sponsor proposes to design, construct, establish, and operate Phase II of the existing Mill Run Mitigation Bank (Bank). The Sponsor proposes to add 18 acres of land and stream and wetland compensatory mitigation activities to the existing, approved, and constructed Bank. The purpose of the Bank is to provide off-site compensatory mitigation for projects that result in unavoidable impacts to waters of the U.S. including wetlands and streams. Public comment should be received by the close of business on January 4, 2024.

Virtual Public Meeting for Section 510 Middle Peninsula State Park Study (Middle Peninsula unit at Machicomoco State Park)

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District (USACE) and the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) invite the public to attend an informational meeting about the Middle Peninsula State Park Feasibility Study, as part of the Section 510, Chesapeake Bay Environmental Restoration and Protection, Program. The purpose of the meeting is to provide the public an opportunity to learn more about the ecosystem restoration and shoreline protection project at DCR’s Middle Peninsula unit at Machicomoco State Park in Gloucester County, Virginia.

NAO-2018-0997 (Loudoun Center, Loudoun County, Virginia)

The applicant proposes to construct eight (8) two-story data centers and a substation to serve the data centers in three (3) separate phases. The proposed project will result in impacts to 0.85 acre of palustrine forested wetlands (PFO) and 2,452 linear feet (0.37acre) of stream channel. Phase I impacts 1 through 7 has been completed and mitigation purchased. The Phase II impacts 8 through 12 will impact .014 acre of PFO and 1,034 linear feet of stream and temporarily impact 27 linear feet of stream. Phase III will be finalized in the future. Public comment should be received by the close of business on December 26, 2023.
