    The Sponsor proposes to design, construct, establish and operate a stream and non-tidal wetland compensatory mitigation project known as LJ-17/MJ-14 Sunken Meadow (Project) in the James River watershed. The Sponsor proposes to generate approximately 39, 134 Unified Stream Methodology (USM) credits and approximately 176 non-tidal wetland credits through the completion of on-site restoration, enhancement, and preservation activities
  • NAO-2006-05947 (Kinder Morgan, Newport News, Virginia)

    The applicant proposes to deepen the Kinder Morgan facility’s permitted dredge depths of -55 ft MLW to -57 ft MLW to match the proposed depth of the existing federal channel (to include overdepth).

    The Proposed Action is for Coastal Seaplanes to establish a commercial seaplane enterprise that will operate in the Elizabeth River and the York River in Virginia under current seaplane policy pursuant to 36 CFR § 328. This regulation requires the commercial operation of seaplanes from federal project waters to obtain written approval of the District Engineer following consultation with and the necessary clearance from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and other appropriate public authorities and affected interests.

  • NAO-2024-01025 (Cascade Mitigation Bank - Prospectus, Richmond, Virginia)

    Expiration date: 9/29/2024

    The sponsor plans to design, construct, establish, and operate the Cascade Mitigation Bank. They aim to generate 13,353 stream credits through stream restoration (9,658 linear feet) and stream buffer reestablishment (96 acres). Additionally, they propose generating 4.91 non-tidal wetland credits through non-tidal wetland restoration (4.2 acres) and upland buffer reestablishment (9.7 acres). The bank will provide off-site compensatory mitigation for projects with unavoidable impacts to U.S. waters, including wetlands and streams.
  • NAO-2011-00118 (Roanoke Cement Company-Catawba Farm Quarry, Roanoke, Virginia)

    Expiration date: 8/25/2024

    The Roanoke Cement Company is expanding its existing cement manufacturing quarry into an adjoining parcel of land. The expansion would extend the ability of the cement plant to provide high quality limestone to meet current, and future demands. All work is to occur in Botetourt County, Virginia. Comments should be received by the close of business on August 25, 2024
