  • NAO-2012-00080 / 13-V0408 Skiffes Creek Public Hearing

    The Norfolk District Regulatory Branch is currently considering a Department of the Army Permit Application from Dominion Virginia Power to construct a new high voltage aerial electrical transmission line in the North Hampton Roads Load Area (NHRLA), known as the Surry-Skiffes Creek-Whealton Transmission Line project. After careful consideration we have determined a public hearing may yield information that would better inform our decision in this matter.

  • 2009-02433; 12-V0875 - Short Pump Manor at Bacova

    The Bacova Development Company, LLC proposes to continue construction of a mixed used development known as “Short Pump Manor at Bacovia” which consists of 89 lots. The applicant proposed to discharge fill material in 0.12 acre of emergent wetlands associated with the construction of the residential lots.

  • NAO-2011-0462 I-64 Capacity Improvements

    Shirley Contracting Company, LLC has proposed the I-64 Capacity Improvements, which will include widening the existing Interstate 64 in Newport News, Virginia from a four lane interstate, to a six lane interstate from 0.50 miles east of Yorktown Road (Route 238 interchange) and ending 1.55 miles west of Jefferson Avenue (Route 143 interchange).

    Todd Lied proposes to construct a 5-foot by 150-foot residential open-pile timber pier in the Southwest Branch of the Back River, a tributary to the Chesapeake Bay. Public comment period ends Feb. 12, 2015.

  • NAO-2008-1760/ 14-V1164

    Expiration date: 10/26/2014

    The City of Chesapeake is proposing improvements to 1.9 miles of Route 337 (Portsmouth Boulevard in Chesapeake and Nansemond Boulevard in Suffolk) between I-664 interchange in Chesapeake and Helen St. in Suffolk, Virginia. The improvements include widening the road from two lanes to four lanes, adding sidewalks, constructing a multi-use path, etc. Construction of the improvements will result in the permanent impact 1.07 acres of nontidal wetland and open water ditch, and 481 linear feet of stream. The public comment period ends on October 26, 2014.
