    The Norfolk District Corps of Engineers, Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), and the Virginia Marine Resources Commission (VMRC) have issued revised versions of the Standard and Tidewater Joint Permit Applications (JPA) dated April 2017.

    Effective immediately, and until further notice, the attached Regional Conditions are applicable within the Commonwealth of Virginia for the 2017 Nationwide Permits (NWPs), which were printed in the Federal Register on January 6, 2017, and became effective on March 19, 2017. The Regional Conditions specify additional restrictions and requirements that have been placed on the applicable Nationwide Permits to ensure that impacts within the Commonwealth of Virginia will not be more than minimal.

    Prince William County Department of Transportation proposes to temporarily and permanently impact jurisdictional wetlands and waters of the United States for the widening of Minnieville Road from an existing two-lane road to a four-lane divided road with a raised median from Spriggs Road to Dumfries Road (Route 234), a sidewalk on the south side of the road, a shared use path on the north side of the road, thru-lanes with curb and gutter, four stormwater management ponds and a culvert replacement at Powell’s Creek in Prince William County, Virginia. Permanent impacts are to 0.569 acre of palustrine forested wetland (PFO), 0.108 acre of palustrine emergent wetland (PEM), and 1,263 linear feet of stream channel. Permanent conversion impacts are to 0.198 acre of PFO. Temporary impacts are to 0.076 acre PFO, 3 square feet of PEM, and 138 linear feet of stream channels. Comment period ends April 27, 2016.

    The Nature Conservancy is proposing to expand a wetland compensatory mitigation located within a 61 acre property located at 370 Keno Road, Fancy Gap, Carroll County, Virginia.

  • NAO-2008-03470 Route 460

    Expiration date: 1/5/2016

    The applicant proposes to construct improvements along the U.S. Route 460 Corridor. From approximately one mile west of Zuni to two miles west of Windsor (approximately 4 miles), the applicant proposes to reconstruct and upgrade existing Route 460 to a four-lane divided highway. From two miles west of Windsor to the Route 460/Route 58 interchange in Suffolk (approx 12 miles), the applicant proposes to construct a new four-lane divided highway that would run north around Windsor, then cross existing Route 460 east of Windsor and run south of the existing Route 460 to Route 58. The applicant proposes to permanently impact 35.77 acres of non-tidal wetlands, 7,663 linear feet of stream and 9,339 lf of jurisdictional ditches. To compensate for unavoidable impacts, the applicant proposes a combination of mitigation bank credits, restoration of wetlands, and preservation of wetlands to expand existing conservation areas.
