    The applicant proposes to widen the existing Ramp D-7 of the I64-I264 Interchange, including work extending through the Newtown Rd. interchange on I264. The proposed project includes new bridges over Kempsville Rd. and Newtown Road; widening the I64 bridge over Curlew Dr.; widening the eastbound I264 collector/distributor (C/D) road to four lanes between I64 and off-ramp to southbound Newtown Rd.; widening eastbound I264 to three lanes between loop ramps; and widening eastbound I264 C/D by one lane between Newtown and Witchduck Rd.'s.

    The applicant proposes to construct improvements along the U.S. Route 460 Corridor. From approximately one mile west of Zuni to two miles west of Windsor (approximately 4 miles), the applicant proposes to reconstruct and upgrade existing Route 460 to a four-lane divided highway. From two miles west of Windsor to the Route 460/Route 58 interchange in Suffolk (approx 12 miles), the applicant proposes to construct a new four-lane divided highway that would run north around Windsor, then cross existing Route 460 east of Windsor and run south of the existing Route 460 to Route 58. The applicant proposes to permanently impact 35.77 acres of non-tidal wetlands, 7,663 linear feet of stream and 9,339 lf of jurisdictional ditches. To compensate for unavoidable impacts, the applicant proposes a combination of mitigation bank credits, restoration of wetlands, and preservation of wetlands to expand existing conservation areas.

    NAO-2014-1928 Shirley Contracting, LLC: The applicant proposes to reconstruct and widen Route 606(Loudoun County Parkway/Old Ox Road) in Loudoun County from the existing two lanes to four lanes, between Evergreen Mills Road (Route 621) and the Dulles Greenway (Route 267), including several stormwater management facilities. The proposed work is a Design Build project with the Virginia Department of Transportation. The comment period ends on April 17, 2015.

  • NAO-2014-0751 Route 784

    Expiration date: 2/21/2015

    The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) proposes to construct a 2.2-mile, two lane roadway (Route 784) with bike lanes, a multipurpose trail, a 5-foot-wide sidewalk, and stormwater facilities, on a new location northwest of the Town of Culpeper, in Culpeper County, Virginia. The southern terminus will connect to the existing Route 522, and the northern terminus will connect to the existing Route 729. The public comment period ends on February 21, 2015.

    The applicant proposes to construct a phase of the Virginia Capital Trail Project known as Park Phase. The Park Phase is a 55 mile dedicated, paved pedestrian and bicycle trail owned by the Virginia Department of Transportation and will connect Jamestown to Richmond along the Route 5 corridor.
