    Chesterfield County proposes to restore water quality and treatment performance of Falling Creek Reservoir by mechanically dredging deposited sediment and constructing a sediment forebay to meet requirements of the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality Municipal Separate Storm System Permit. Falling Creek Reservoir was originally constructed in 1951 for water supply storage but has not been used for that purpose since 1985. The reservoir has lost 66 million gallons or 22% of the original storage capacity.

    Base Camp Holding is proposing to complete construction of a single family residential development known as Summerlake. The project was previously authorized by the Corps but the applicant did not complete construction of the development prior to the expiration date of the permit. The project site is approximately 97 acres and is located south of Otterdale Branch, generally west of Otterdale Road, in Chesterfield County, Virginia. The site drains into Otterdale Branch, which drains into Swift Creek, a tributary to the Appomattox River. The applicant is seeking authorization to impact 0.372 acre of forested wetlands and 375 linear feet of stream channel associated with the construction of 212 lots, roads, utilities, and erosion and sediment control measures. . The applicant previously provided compensatory mitigation for the impacts by making a monetary contribution to the Virginia Wetland Restoration Trust Fund in the amount of $ 119,070.00 and by purchasing 1.6 wetland mitigation credits. Total cumulative permanent impacts for the construction of Summerlake are 2.26 acres of forested wetlands and 1,143 linear feet of stream channel.

    RP2B, LLC proposes to construct a townhome development to be known as “Millpointe Townhomes” consisting of 99 units, utilities, road widening, amenities and erosion and sediment control measures. As proposed, the project will result in the permanent impact to 731 linear feet of stream channel, 0.88 acre of forested wetlands, and the permanent impact to 0.02 acre of forested wetlands. To mitigate for these impacts, the applicant proposes to purchase a total of 1.74 wetland credits and 748 stream credits from Weatherbury Mitigation Bank and the Amelia Environmental Bank. The project is approximately 52 acres and is located on the north line of Centerpointe Parkway, south of Route 288, east of Brandermill Parkway, in Chesterfield County, Virginia. The project site drains into Tomahawk Creek, a tributary to the Swift Creek, which drains into the Appomattox River.
