    The project is located on the James River a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, off U.S. Route 5 within a larger property known as Curles Neck Farm, Henrico County, Virginia. The applicant proposes to construct a sand and gravel mining pit on 130 acres and the materials will leave directly from the site via barge on the James River or by truck on U.S. Route 5. The applicants stated purpose is to provide construction materials for construction activities.

    The project is located in the Chesapeake Bay along Chesapeake Beach, between Joyce Avenue and Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek/Fort Story, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The applicant proposes to construct a beach replenishment (nourishment) project along approximately 6,000 linear feet of shoreline at Chesapeake Beach.

    The proposed mitigation site (Site) is located on approximately 18.13 acres of a previous sand and gravel mining site. The Site is located in Philips Creek drainage basin which is a tributary that flows to the Atlantic Ocean in Northampton County, Virginia. The sponsor proposes to establish, design, construct, and operate a compensatory wetland mitigation site to be known as AO-6 Philips Creek (Branscome, Inc.). The purpose of the mitigation project is to provide off-site compensatory mitigation for projects that result in unavoidable impacts to wetlands and other waters of the United States in the Atlantic Ocean Drainage Basin.

    The City of Virginia Beach Department of Public Works, Engineering proposes to construct an open pile pier and approach road, dredge 1,000 cubic yards channelward of the pier end, install 2 mooring dolphins, 2 walking ramps and a retaining wall between the approach road and the pier. The proposed work would occur in the Eastern Branch of the Lynnhaven River adjacent to 321 Hutton Lane in Virginia Beach, VA. The purpose of the facility is to moor barges used for dredging projects in the Eastern Branch of the Lynnhaven River to offload dredge spoil into trucks which then haul the material to approved disposal facilities. The proposed approach road would impact 50 square feet of scrub shrub tidal wetlands, the dredging would impact 3,200 square feet of tidal vegetated wetlands, the proposed pier would shade 1,790 square feet of tidal wetlands. The public notice comment period ends on October 16, 2017.

    Expiration date: 10/6/2017

    The applicant, Cape Harbor Holdings LLC, is proposing to construct a new marine terminal and boat yard on a former seafood and grain offloading facility in Cape Charles, Virginia. Project components include several shoreline stabilization structures (revetments, sills, and a sheet pile bulkhead); a loading platform; eight timber dolphins; a 600-ton travel lift; piers and boat slips for staging vessels; and 1.5 acres of mechanical dredging. Approximately 0.86 of non-tidal wetlands and 2000 square feet of tidal wetlands will be impacted by the project. Non-tidal wetland impacts may be compensated for with the purchase of commercial credits if available, or through permittee-responsible mitigation. The tidal impacts will be mitigated through the construction of a living shoreline.
