  • NAO-2021-01677 (WF Magann East Yard Dredging, Portsmouth, Virginia)

    Expiration date: 3/7/2025

    W F Magann Corporation is proposing to perform new and future maintenance dredging by mechanical methods for the extended waterfront development at the W F Magann East Yard on the Western Branch of the Elizabeth River in Portsmouth, Virginia. Comments should be received by the close of business on March 7, 2025.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), as part of an interagency effort with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service, is announcing the availability of the draft changes to the 2024 National Wetland Plant List and its web address to solicit public comments. The public now has the opportunity to comment on the proposed changes to wetland indicator status ratings for one plant species in the Atlantic and Gulf Coastal Plain and Eastern Mountains, and Piedmont regions and one species in the Midwest and Northcentral and Northeast regions. Additionally, changes to eight species in the Alaska Region are proposed and available for public comment. The public comment period ends on 31 March 2025.
  • NAO-2024-02816 (USFWS - Chincoteague NWR, Chincoteague, Virginia)

    Expiration date: 3/3/2025

    The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) Beach Parking Relocation project is designed to relocate infrastructure and facilities needed to support the recreational beach including parking, access road, and facilities. The current recreational beach and parking lots have experienced severe damage over the years due to strong winds, waves, and storm surges in conjunction with high tides. Destruction of the existing recreational beach and parking lots is expected to reoccur on a regular basis in the future and more frequently. Therefore, to continue providing recreational beach access to visitors, relocation of the recreational beach is recommended. Comments should be received by the close of business on March 3, 2025.

  • NAO-2009-00879 (Hampton River Ancillary 5 Dredging, Hampton, Virginia)

    Expiration date: 2/15/2025

    The City of Hampton proposes to extend the Hampton River Ancillary 5 channel approximately 845 feet by mechanically dredging a 16-foot-wide channel to a maximum depth of -4 feet mean low water, including overdredge. All work is to occur in Hampton, Virginia. Comments should be received by the close of business on February 15, 2025.

  • NAO-2024-02209 (Yadkin Substation Expansion, Chesapeake, Virginia)

    Expiration date: 2/14/2025

    The Yadkin Substation is proposed to be expanded by approximately 2.5 acres (AC) to accommodate new equipment and allow for termination of existing and new lines within the Yadkin Substation and successfully integrate the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project into the regional transmission grid. All work to occur in Chesapeake, VA. Comments should be received by the close of business on February 14, 2025.
