    Branch Highways, in consultation with VDOT, is proposing to complete the final phase of a three-part expansion on Route 3 from the Orange County line to the Route 3/Route 522 intersection. The applicant is proposing to widen the two-lane road to a four-lane divided highway. The purpose of the widening project is to improve traffic safety along the heavily traveled corridor between the city of Fredericksburg and the town of Culpeper.
