  • NAO-2024-02613 (Dominion Surry Power Station Dredge, Surry, Virginia)

    Expiration date: 4/19/2025

    The Surry Power Station is located on the south side of James River and recently received an extended license for Unit 1 and Unit 2 until 2052 and 2053, respectively. An existing 1,750-foot channel associated with the Surry Power Station’s intake structure receives maintenance dredging under permits (NAO-2008-01451/NAO-2016-01202 and #2019-1433), which allows for a 150-foot-wide channel to minus 11 feet mean low water.

  • NAO-2018-01405 (Nestle Purina King William Clay Mine Expansion Project / PJD / King William, Virginia)

    Expiration date: 4/12/2025

    Nestle Purina Petcare Company is requesting a permit modification for the expansion of an existing clay mining operation in King William County, VA for an individual permit that was issued on March 12, 2020. The work will involve removal of overburden and mining of Calvert formation clay from an additional 76.4 acres of extractable area. The modification will result in the additional permanent impacts to 1.02 acres of nontidal forested wetlands and 2,464 linear feet of stream channel. Comments should be received by April 12, 2025.

  • NAO-1995-08595 (VARTF SH-8_Mt. Sydney, Augusta County, Virginia)

    Expiration date: 4/5/2025

    The Sponsor proposes to design, construct, establish and operate a stream and non-tidal wetland compensatory mitigation site known as SH-8 Mt. Sydney in the Shenandoah River watershed. The Sponsor proposes to generate approximately 11, 943 Unified Stream Methodology (USM) credits and approximately 35.64 non-tidal wetland credits through the completion of on-site restoration, enhancement, and preservation activities. Comments should be received by the close of business on April 5, 2025.

  • NAO-1988-00021 - Availability of Final EIS SPSA Regional Landfill Expansion

    Expiration date: 3/31/2025

    Availability of Final EIS for the Southeastern Public Service Authority (SPSA) Regional Landfill Expansion. The Notice of Availability for the Final EIS was published in the Federal Register on February 28, 2025. Federal, State and Local agencies, as well as private individuals, organizations or groups, are invited to provide comment for our consideration as we work towards development of a Record of Decision (ROD). The FEIS is not the decision document. Rather, its purpose is to inform the public and other agencies of potential impacts associated with the Applicant’s proposal. The Corps will execute a final decision regarding the proposed action and complete a ROD no sooner than 30 days (March 31, 2025) following publication of the Notice of Availability of the Final EIS. Comments must be received by the Corps by the close of business on March 31, 2025.

    SPSA Landfill Expansion Final Environmental Impact Statement

    Toll Mid-Atlantic LP Company, Inc. request Department of Army authorization to discharge fill and/or dredge material into waters of the US, including wetlands (WOTUS), and for the construction of a 255-lot residential community with associated infrastructure and community amenities. The applicant proposes the project to help alleviate and meet the high housing demands in Loudoun County, Virginia. Comments should be received by close of business on March 27, 2025.
