    Expiration date: 9/25/2025

    The Sponsor proposes to design, construct, establish, and operate a compensatory mitigation bank for the purpose of providing off-site compensatory mitigation for projects that result in unavoidable impacts to waters of the U.S. The Sponsor has proposed that the Bank will consist of one site, the Dismal Swamp Mitigation Bank. The Site includes approximately 157 acres. All work is proposed to occur in Chesapeake County, Virginia.

  • NAO-2022-02902 (Middle James Umbrella Mitigation Bank, Appomattox, Virginia)

    Expiration date: 6/27/2025

    The Sponsor proposes to design, construct, establish, and operate the Bank for the purpose of providing off-site compensatory mitigation for projects that result in unavoidable impacts to waters of the U.S., including wetlands. The Sponsor has proposed that the Bank will consist of two (2) sites, the Natts Branch Site and the Clover Hill Site. The Sites total approximately 122 acres. All work is proposed to occur in Appomattox County, Virginia.

    New Bay, LLC is proposing a to design, construct, establish, and operate the Boydton Regional Umbrella Mitigation Bank (Bank). The Sponsor has proposed that the Bank will consist of two (2) sites, the Antlers Road Site and the Youngs Road Site. The Sites total approximately 385 acres. All work is proposed to occur in Mecklenburg County, Virginia.

    Rockland Environmental Concerns, LLC is proposing a to design, construct, establish, and operate compensatory mitigation bank Site on approximately 126 acres. The Site is called the Rockland Mitigation Bank. All work is to occur in Loudoun County, Virginia. Comments should be received by the close of business on March 9, 2025.

    Expiration date: 8/25/2023

    The Sponsor proposed to establish, design, construct, and operate a tidal wetland compensatory mitigation site to be known as the Wallace Creek Tidal Wetland Mitigation Bank (Bank). The purpose of the mitigation project is to provide off-site compensatory mitigation for projects that result in unavoidable impacts to tidal wetlands in the Chesapeake Bay watershed.   Public comments should be received by the close of business on August 25, 2023.
