    Project: Dominion Energy Virginia proposes to construct a 2,587-megawatt (MW) offshore wind project, known as the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) Commercial Project, located within the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Virginia, which will include associated infrastructure within the cities of Virginia Beach and Chesapeake, Virginia. The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has issued a Notice of Availability (NOA) for the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for public comment, and has announced the dates and time of virtual public hearings/meetings.

    The City of Suffolk proposes to construct a flood control Best Management Practice (BMP) pond designed to attenuate storm flows within the Pughsville neighborhood. The basin will be 3.05 acres in size and is designed to attenuate the 100-year storm event. The BMP would result in the permanent loss of 0.75 acres of non-tidal forested wetlands and 673 linear feet of intermittent stream channel.

    Dominion Energy Virginia proposes to construct a 2,587-megawatt (MW) offshore wind project, known as the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) Commercial Project, located within the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Virginia, which will include associated infrastructure within the cities of Virginia Beach and Chesapeake, Virginia. Public comments should be received by the close of business on October 15, 2022.

    The applicant proposes to provide eight residential-building lots within the suburban community of Great Bridge, in the city of Chesapeake, Virginia. The project will be located within the Coopers Ditch/Albemarle and Chesapeake Canal watershed. In addition to the required Department of the Army permit, the applicant must obtain a Virginia Water Protection Permit from the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, assuring that applicable laws and regulations pertaining to water quality are not violated.
