FEDERAL PUBLIC NOTICE: The district commander has received a joint application for federal and state permits from the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) to construct improvements along the U.S. Route 460 Corridor, from approximately one mile west of Zuni to the Route 460/Route 58 interchange in Suffolk, Virginia. A Public Notice announcing receipt of the application and requesting comments was published on Nov. 30, 2015, with a comment period ending January 5, 2016. The comment period for the Public Notice is hereby extended until Jan. 20, 2016. The comment period is extended because major holidays occur during the comment period and modifications to certain aspects of the project have occurred since it was last presented to the public.
Comments on this project should be made in writing, addressed to the Norfolk District, US Army Corps of Engineers (ATTN: CENAO-WR-R), 803 Front Street, Norfolk, Virginia 23510-1096, and should be received by the close of business on Jan. 20, 2016.
