    Lidl US LLC proposes to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Norfolk District and Virginia Department of Historic Resources under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. The Edwards Ferry Retail project, a proposed grocery store and associated infrastructure, is located within the boundary of the Balls Bluff Battlefield Historic District in Leesburg, Virginia. Balls Bluff Battlefield Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Public comment period ends Dec. 4, 2015.

    Mecklenburg County (Permittee) is proposing to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the US Army Corps of Engineers (Norfolk District) and Virginia Department of Historic Resources under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. The Mosley Cemetery (44MC0920) has been deemed eligible for, and recommended for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places. In compliance with the NHPA, the Norfolk District is interested in identifying “consulting parties” with whom to coordinate the effects of the project on historic properties, and possible means of avoiding or mitigating adverse effects on such properties.

  • SPGP Programmatic Agreement

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Norfolk District announces an amended Programmatic Agreement between the Norfolk District Corps of Engineers, the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation, the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality and the Virginia State Historic Preservation Office executed under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
