The project would impact 0.71 acre of forested wetlands, 247 square feet of emergent wetlands, and 2,693 linear feet of steam channel. The project is located west of Centreport Parkway and north of Mountain Valley Road, Stafford County, Virginia

The project will impact 0.73 acres of palustrine emergent wetlands and 2,523 linear feet of intermittent stream. The public comment period ends on February 28, 2021.

    The Bay Creek South, LLC (Sponsor) proposes to establish, design, construct, and operate a compensatory wetland mitigation site to be known as the Chesapeake Shore Mitigation Bank (Bank). The proposed Bank is located on approximately 298 acres of abandoned golf course, forest, and agricultural land and is located along Old Plantation Creek a tributary to the Chesapeake Bay in Northampton, Virginia. The purpose of the Bank is to provide off-site compensatory mitigation for projects that result in unavoidable impacts to wetlands and other waters of the United States in the Lower Chesapeake Bay Drainage Basin.

    The applicant proposes constructing a car dealership within a 7.22-acre project area, including parking spaces, a 40,000 square foot detention facility, and a 28,000 square foot building to be used as a show room, office space and repair facility, resulting in permanent impacts to 3.82 acres of forested wetlands and 3.4 acres of scrub shrub wetlands.
