    This is a proposed single user mitigation bank. Proposed by Franklin County Dept of economic development. The proposed mitigation site is approximately 143 acres located on an approximately 408 acre parcel that is currently being used for livestock and hay production and unmanaged forestland. The site is located within the Lower Blackwater River watershed in Franklin County, Virginia.

    Fallings Spring LLC proposes to modify the Bailey Mitigation Bank MBI to include the Barrs Property. The purpose of the Bank/Bank Site is to provide off-site compensatory mitigation for projects that result in unavoidable impacts to wetlands and streams of the United States in the Chickahominy River Drainage Basin. The Sponsor plans to preserve 6,850 linear feet of the Chickahominy River, 3,355 linear feet of an unnamed tributary to the Chickahominy River, 4,742 linear feet of Collins Run, 2,696 linear feet of a braided channel associated with Collins Run, 203 acres of riparian buffer , and 48 acres of Palustrine Forested Wetlands (PFO) on the Barrs Property. These stream preservation credits are to be paired with stream restoration/enhancement credits from the site approved with the Bailey Mitigation Bank MBI.

    NAO-2015-01443-03/07/2017: Chesapeake Land Development, LLC proposes to establish and operate a tidal wetland compensatory mitigation bank to provide off-site compensatory mitigation for projects that result in unavoidable impacts to tidal wetlands within the specified geographic service area. The proposed mitigation bank site, to be known as New Mill Creek Tidal Mitigation Bank, is comprised of approximately 29 acres of land located on New Mill Creek, a tributary of the Southern Branch of the Elizabeth River, in Chesapeake, Virginia. The public comment period ends April 6, 2017.
