    Henrico County Department of Public Works is proposing to construct a new 1,250 foot segment of Creighton Road between Sandy Lane and Dabbs House Road as well as widening the existing Creighton Road to a four-lane divided roadway with a raised concrete median, turn lanes in select locations and sidewalks to improve motorist and pedestrian safety. Public comments should be received by the close of business on April 8, 2022

    Norfolk District announces the issuance of Regional Permit 11 in support of the administration's initiative to streamline the approval and construction of infrastructure projects in Virginia. RP-11 is for use by the Virginia Department of Transportation to expedite projects that would qualify for a nonreporting nationwide permit but for the Endangered Species Act general condition. RP-11 will allow VDOT to go to construction more quickly in cases where it can comply with the Endangered Species Act through informal consultation. In those cases, a preconstruction notification is not required, but VDOT will report the projects proceeding under RP-11.

    The Norfolk District has prepared a draft Environmental Assessment on behalf of Joint Base Langley Eustis (JBLE) and Defense Logistic Agency (DLA) to assess the potential impacts of the DLA construction of a new fuel and associated dredging of the Langley Air Force Base (LAFB) pier for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) fuel pier replacement project, located at the Langley Air Force Base (LAFB) in Hampton, Va.

    The applicant proposes to mechanically dredge 2.77 acres within a man-made cove (0.32 acres within the James River), construct a 400 ft bulkhead, dry dock, large truck parking and storage on approximately 32 acre parcel off the James River. The purpose of the project is to construct a marine terminal to allow for barge access; unloading and storage of large recyclable materials and other commodities; and stormwater management.
