  • NAO-2020-00657 (TREC Route 15, Loudoun County, Virginia)

    Expiration date: 1/2/2026

    Loudoun County Department of Transportation requests authorization to remove and replace an existing culvert crossing located within a perennial stream channel. The current crossing is undersized, leading to restricted flow conditions. The culvert crossing will be replaced with a bridge crossing and the affected stream will be restored using natural stream design. This activity will be performed in compliance with current Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) grading standards, and in support an ongoing road expansion project along Route 15.

    The sponsor, Potomac Mitigation Bank, LLC, proposes the establishment of the Brookdale, Britain, and Tiffany Mitigation Bank to offset non-tidal wetland and stream impacts authorized as part of future federal and state permits. The purpose of this notice is to solicit comments and recommendations from the public, federal, state, and local agencies and officials, Indian tribes, and other interested parties concerning the work as described below. All work is to occur in Loudoun County, Virginia.

  • NAO-2023-02674 (Skyhill Court Subdivision, Loudoun, Virginia)

    The Evergreene Companies, LLC is proposing to construct a six-lot residential subdivision and associated infrastructure within two parcels of land totaling approximately 7.3 acres. The work will result in permanent impacts to 3,248 square feet (0.07 acres) of nontidal emergent wetlands. In compliance with regulations implementing Section 106 of the NHPA, the Corps is soliciting comments on the proposed project from the public; federal, state, and local agencies and officials; Native American Tribes; and other interested parties. This public notice provides an opportunity for members of the public to express their views on the undertaking’s effects on historic properties and resolution of adverse effects. The Corps is requesting comments to assist in evaluation of the effects of the project on historic properties and evaluation of alternatives or modifications which could avoid, minimize, or mitigate adverse effects on historic properties.

    Rockland Environmental Concerns, LLC is proposing a to design, construct, establish, and operate compensatory mitigation bank Site on approximately 126 acres. The Site is called the Rockland Mitigation Bank. All work is to occur in Loudoun County, Virginia. Comments should be received by the close of business on March 9, 2025.

    The Sponsor proposes to design, construct, establish, and operate Hogans Belt Mitigation Bank (Bank). The sponsor is proposing 35.03 wetland credits be generated through wetland creation (22.6 acres), wetland enhancement (24.7 acres), wetland preservation (1 acre), upland buffer reforestation (25.9 acres), and forest preservation (7.1 acres) across two project areas. The purpose of the Bank is to provide off-site compensatory mitigation for projects that result in unavoidable impacts to waters of the U.S. including wetlands. Comments should be received by the close of business on May 11, 2024.
