  • NAO-2024-01425 Hogue Creek Mitigation Bank Prospectus, Frederick, Virginia)

    Expiration date: 8/21/2024

    The Sponsor proposes to design, construct, establish, and operate Hogue Creek Mitigation Bank (Bank). The Sponsor is proposing to generate 11,596 stream credits through a combination of stream restoration (3,864 linear feet), stream enhancement (522 linear feet) stream buffer rehabilitation (30.2 acres), livestock exclusion (9,191 linear feet), and threatened and endangered species habitat creation. Additionally, the Sponsor is proposing to generate 39.2 non-tidal wetland credits through non-tidal wetland restoration (37 acres), non-tidal wetland enhancement (0.03 acres), and upland buffer rehabilitation (4.02 acres). The purpose of the Bank is to provide off-site compensatory mitigation for projects that result in unavoidable impacts to waters of the U.S. including wetlands and streams. Comments should be received by the close of business on August 21, 2024.
  • NAO-2016-00633 (Montebello Mitigation Bank - Additional Site Prospectus, Orange, Virginia)

    Expiration date: 8/18/2024

    The Sponsor proposes to design, construct, establish, and operate this Site as an addition to the Montebello Mitigation Bank. The Sponsor is proposing that this Site will generate 1,740 stream credits through a combination of stream enhancement (1,327 linear feet) and stream buffer reestablishment (19 acres). Additionally, the Sponsor is proposing that this Site will generate 0.8 non-tidal wetland credits through non-tidal wetland restoration (0.71 acres), non-tidal wetland enhancement (0.30 acres), and upland buffer preservation (0.29 acres). The purpose of the Bank is to provide off-site compensatory mitigation for projects that result in unavoidable impacts to waters of the U.S. including wetlands and streams. Comments should be received by the close of business on August 18, 2024.
  • NAO-2010-00809 (NSN Dredging Phase II, Norfolk, Virginia)

    Expiration date: 8/16/2024

    The Navy is requesting a permit modification for the Naval Station Norfolk (NSN) Maintenance Dredging individual permit that was issued on February 29, 2024 for the newly tested NSN Phase II areas that would allow additional dredged material placement options, to include ocean placement at the Norfolk Ocean Disposal Site (NODS), pipeline placement at the Craney Island Dredged Material Management Area (CIDMMA), disposal at an approved upland facility, or a combination of these alternatives. Comments should be received by the close of business on August 16, 2024.

    HOFD Ashville Park, LLC & Ashville Park Owners Association propose to impact 0.40 acres of emergent wetlands, 0.68 acres of scrub/shrub wetlands, 0.12 acres of forested wetlands for grading associated with residential lot development in Village E and filling for an equestrian/pedestrian path at the existing, partially developed Ashville Park residential subdivision in Virginia Beach, VA. Comments should be received by the close of business on August 15, 2024.

    Lingerfelt Capital Partners LLC is proposing an undertaking to construct a new 94.0-acre industrial warehouse park for air and logistic distribution. The applicant’s stated purpose is to provide industrial storage to meet the economic needs of Henrico County while creating employment opportunities in the Greater Richmond area. The project will adversely affect the Darbytown & New Market Roads Battlefield, Darbytown Road Battlefield, and Fair Oaks & Darbytown Road Battlefield. In compliance with regulation implementation Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), the Norfolk District is soliciting comments on the proposed project from the public; federal, state, and local agencies and officials; Native American Tribes; and other interested parties. This public notice provides and opportunity for members of the public to express their views on the undertaking’s effects on historic properties and resolution of adverse effects. Comments should be received by the close of business on August 14, 2024.
