    The applicant proposes to upgrade Route 220 (Botetourt Road) from approx. 0.129 miles south of Route 43 (Narrow Passage Road) north to the intersection with Route 727 (Fork Farm Road), for a total length of 8.56 miles of work along a 9.65‐mile section of Route 220.

    The applicant proposes to construct a 4-slip, 94-foot by 55-foot, enclosed boathouse for County Fire and police vessels; a 7-foot wide by 100-foot long access pier that will connect to a 4-space parking lot located within the 26.1 acre Osborne Park and Boat Landing Facility.

    The applicant proposes to mechanically dredge approximately 22,000 cubic yards of material from Indian River Creek. The purpose of the project is to dredge a 20-foot drainage channel to a depth of -4 feet referencing North American Datum of 1988 (NAVD 88) (with a 0.5 foot allowable overdepth, which equates to -4.5 feet NAVD or -3.0 feet MLW) along each of the tributaries in Indian River Creek to improve flow and tidal flushing out to the Chesapeake Bay.

    The purpose of this project is dredging of the Back River Channel with dredged material transport and placement at Norfolk Ocean Disposal Site (NODS) located approximately 17-miles east of the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay in Federal waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Joint Base Langley-Eustis (JBLE-Langley) needs to perform maintenance and new work dredging of the Back River Channel to maintain safe navigation for its vessels. This channel provides access and safe navigation in support of national defense to the JBLE-Langley located in Hampton, Virginia from the Chesapeake Bay.

    Mid-Atlantic Advanced Manufacturing Center (MAMaC)-Regional Industrial Facility Authority (RIFA) proposes to establish and operate a single-user wetland compensatory mitigation bank to provide off-site compensatory mitigation for projects that result in unavoidable impacts to wetlands within a specified geographic service area. The proposed mitigation bank, to be known as Low Ground Mitigation Bank, is comprised of approximately 193 acres of land located on Mill Swamp, a tributary of the Chowan River, in Greensville County, Virginia. The public comment period ends October 28, 2017.
