    Branch Flatiron proposes to improve an approximate 15-mile long section of the Interstate 95 corridor with the extension of two high-occupancy toll lanes in the median between the I-95 northbound and southbound lanes in Prince William and Stafford Counties, Virginia. The proposed project involves approximately 10 miles of new roadway construction from the I-95/US 17 North interchange to the I-95/Garrisonville Road interchange as well as new ramp construction near the I-95/ Russell Road interchange and other associated roadway improvements.

    The Navy proposes to impact 2.04 acres of forested wetlands for the Special Operations Forces Demolition Training Complex upgrade at Dam Neck Annex in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Of that total, 0.37 acres of forested wetlands would be cleared and filled and 1.67 acres permanently converted from forested wetlands to emergent wetlands.

The purpose of the compensatory mitigation project is to provide off-site compensatory mitigation for projects that result in unavoidable impacts to wetlands and other waters of the United States in the Chowan River Drainage basin.
