Rudee Inlet Dredging
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers dredge Currituck was off the Virginia coast July 18-21, 2012 to dredge shoaling in the federal channel of Rudee Inlet. The Currituck, one of the Corps' dredges, is a highly utilized resource throughout coastal projects along the East Coast. During this project, approximately 7,715 cubic yards was dredged. The Wilmington, NC-based Currituck will return to Virginia next year to dredge anticipated shoaling in the channel.
