The total project length is about 9.9 miles, 1.8 miles of which is proposed tunnel and island expansion. The project will permanently impact 18.92 acres of subaqueous bottom, 0.4 acres of submerged aquatic vegetation, 3.75 acres of tidal wetlands and 0.86 acres of nontidal wetlands.
