    A Joint Permit Application (NAO 2019-00448, VMRC 19-0309) has been received from Jennifer Huelsberg for a shoreline stabilization project and a 256-foot long by 6-foot wide private pier that terminates in an 8-foot wide by 16-foot long L-head platform adjacent to 1608 Bay Point Drive situated along Broad Bay in Virginia Beach. The channelward end of the pier, including the L-head platform, extends approximately 116 feet into the area that is planned for future Submerged Aquatic Vegetation (SAV) restoration as part of the Lynnhaven River Basin Ecosystem Restoration Project.

    A Joint Permit Application (NAO 2019-00791, VMRC 19-0684) has been received from Mark and Keri Whitfield proposing to install a 15-foot by 13.5-foot floating dock adjacent to an existing private pier at 1640 Bay Point Drive situated along Broad Bay in Virginia Beach. The proposed location of the floating dock is in a leased area that is planned for future Submerged Aquatic Vegetation (SAV) restoration as part of the USACE Lynnhaven River Basin Ecosystem Restoration Project.

    The Navy proposes to impact 2.04 acres of forested wetlands for the Special Operations Forces Demolition Training Complex upgrade at Dam Neck Annex in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Of that total, 0.37 acres of forested wetlands would be cleared and filled and 1.67 acres permanently converted from forested wetlands to emergent wetlands.

    The city of Virginia Beach proposes to modify their individual permit for the dredging and placement of beach nourishment along Chesapeake and Ocean Park beachs. The modification will place an additional 350,000 cubic yards of sand material along the shoreline, resulting in additional impacts to approximately 6.5 acres of intertidal non-vegetated wetlands and 26.5 acres of subaqueous bottom.

    Dam Neck Danger Zone Modification- The Corps of Engineers is amending an existing permanent danger zone in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean south of the entrance to the Chesapeake Bay off of the coast of Virginia. This amendment identifies the area within the current danger zone boundary where live fire exercises are no longer conducted and no restriction to surface navigation exists. In addition, the amendment removes references to live fire range conditions and safety procedures since shore-to-sea gunnery operations are no longer conducted.
