PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE:  The proposed project includes construction of 6.35 miles of natural gas 24-inch pipeline along the existing South Virginia Lateral pipeline system to increase transportation capacity, increase overall reliability and to meet the growing need for natural gas in the Mid-Atlantic region and will permanently convert 0.75 acres of palustrine forested wetlands or palustrine scrub shrub wetlands to palustrine emergent wetlands and temporarily impact 1.77 acres of palustrine emergent wetlands and 1,185 linear feet of stream channel.

PROPOSED WORK AND PURPOSE:  The Sponsor proposes to construct a 21-acre compensatory mitigation site to be known as the SH-7 Barlow Site (Project). The purpose of the Project is to restore non-tidal wetlands and stream channels, remove livestock, and restore upland buffers to provide off-site compensatory mitigation for projects that result in unavoidable impacts in the Shenandoah River Drainage Basin.

The sponsor proposes to construct a 2-acre oyster reef mitigation site to be known as the Lamberts Point Site. The purpose of the mitigation project is to restore oyster reef habitat and to provide off-site compensatory mitigation for projects that result in unavoidable impacts to in the Elizabeth River Drainage Basin. Public comments should be received by the close of business on October 1, 2022.

NAO-2022-01297, Haywood Marina, Deltaville, Middlesex County

Expiration date: 9/30/2022

The applicant proposes to make improvements to an existing marina on Broad Creek to include bulkheading, pier replacement, boat ramp installation, dredging, and living shoreline creation and ecological restoration. The dredged material will be mechanically dredged utilizing an excavator on land, then placed in a dump truck adjacent to the dredged area, allowed to de-water, then moved off-site to an approved upland site (Tax Map 40 34 5A, General Puller Highway). The project will result in the loss of 0.01 acre of tidal vegetated wetlands, 0.01 acre of tidal mudflats, and 0.03 acre of subaqueous bottom. Public comments should be received by the close of business on September 30, 2022.
