The proposed bank site is located on the west line of Route 28, generally south of Route 605, in Fauquier County, Virginia. Comments should be received by the close of business June 24, 2022
  • PROPOSED REISSUANCE OF THE NORFOLK DISTRICT REGIONAL PERMIT 5 (RP-05)

    The Norfolk District proposes the reissuance of the Regional Permit 5 (16-RP-05), scheduled to expire on June 9, 2022. Regional Permit 5 authorizes private entities to discharge dredged and/or fill material into waters of the U.S. for the purpose of constructing small impoundments for general and private use. These uses include, but are not limited to, recreation, aesthetics, and water storage for fire prevention; moreover, the impacts may not result in more than minimal individual or cumulative adverse environmental impacts. Public comments should be received by June 23, 2022.
  • NAO-2013-01663 (Potomac Creek, Stafford County)

    Expiration date: 5/27/2022

    The applicant is requesting an Individual Permit from the Norfolk District under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act for the discharge of fill into approximately 0.75 acre of palustrine forested wetlands (PFO), 0.55 acre of palustrine emergent wetlands (PEM), 0.50 acre of palustrine open water (POW), and 1,122 linear feet (0.12 acre) of stream channel. The proposed project is a large-scale distribution facility that will provide warehouse space in close proximity to major transportation routes (Interstate 95 and Route 1). Public comments should be received by the close of business on May 27, 2022.

    Interested parties are hereby notified that a request for permission to alter a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) project pursuant to Section 14 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 (33 U.S.C. Section 408) has been received and will be evaluated by the Norfolk District.  Written comments, including any objections to the proposed alteration, stating reasons therefore, are being solicited from anyone having an interest in the requested alteration. Comments are due by May 27, 2022. 
  • NAO-2021-03080; VMRC 22-V0932 (Washington DC-Richmond area corridor)

    Kalahari Virginia, LLC has proposed to construct a resort and convention center along the Washington DC-Richmond area corridor. The proposed project would include outdoor and indoor water parks, convention center, hotel, storm water management structures, outdoor pool/amenity area, maintenance building, employee housing, internal roads, and parking. The project would permanently impact 0.04 acre of palustrine forested wetlands; 0.01 acre of palustrine scrub/shrub wetlands; 0.56 acre of palustrine emergent wetlands; 0.65 acre of open water; and temporarily impact 1.57 acres of open water. Comments should be received by the close of business June 13, 2022.
