  • NAO-2024-00126 (Ragged Island Restoration, Isle of Wight County, Virginia)

    The Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources proposes to create a living shoreline along 1.2 miles of the James River shoreline at the Ragged Island Wildlife Management Area in Isle of Wight County, Virginia. The applicant proposes to construct 62 rip rap breakwaters creating 1.97 acres of rock substrate to protect the shore and encourage oyster growth, and use imported sand to restore 5.26 acres of tidal marsh lost to erosion. The overall project would result in direct impacts to 0.14 acres of tidal wetlands, 0.85 acres of unvegetated intertidal waters, and 6.4 acres of subaqueous land. Comments should be received by the close of business on 29 March 2024.

  • Proposed VPRA-USACE Liaison Funding Agreement

    This Public Notice announces the preliminary intent of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Norfolk District (Corps) to accept and expend funds from the Virginia Passenger Rail Authority (VPRA) to expedite processing of their Department of the Army (DA) permit applications subject to certain limitations. Comments should be received by March 4, 2024.

  • NAO-2022-01615 (Crosspointe Logistics Center, Prince George, Virginia)

    Expiration date: 3/15/2024

    The applicant is proposing to construct a large-scale industrial campus including one 895,000 square foot, one 1,200,000 square foot, and one 250,000 square foot building with associated tractor trailer, loading and separate employee auto parking, and supporting stormwater management (SWM) infrastructure. As proposed, the project would permanently impact 10.33 acres of wetlands and waters of the U.S. (WOUS). The proposed permanent impacts consist of 8.05 acres of palustrine forested (PFO) wetlands, 2.19 acres of palustrine emergent (PEM) wetland, and 0.09 acres of palustrine open water (POW). These proposed impacts will result from grading and fill associated with the construction of the planned industrial development, various access roads through the property to allow for safe and reliable flow of tractor trailers, stormwater management infrastructures, utilities and the construction of a paved parking lots associated with the proposed project. Comments should be received by the close of business on March 15, 2024.

  • NAO-2016-00218 (Cedar Terrace, Loudoun County, Virginia)

    Expiration date: 3/1/2024

    The applicant proposes to construct a mixed-use development, to be known as Cedar Terrace, within the existing South Riding community and in proximity to the existing South Riding Market Square retail development. The project would include 383 residential units and seven commercial/retail buildings, open space, active recreation areas, parking, stormwater management, and associated utilities and infrastructure. The proposed project would permanently impact 0.32 acre of palustrine forested wetlands (PFO), 0.33 acre of palustrine scrub-shrub wetland (PSS), 0.40 acre palustrine emergent wetland (PEM), and 2,903 linear feet of stream. In addition, 94 linear feet of stream are proposed as temporary impacts for the development. Comments should be received by the close of business on March 1, 2024

  • Section 408 Public Notice for Richmond Floodwall South-Silo

    Interested parties are hereby notified that multiple requests for permission to alter a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) project pursuant to Section 14 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 (33 U.S.C. Section 408) have been received and will be evaluated by the Norfolk District. Written comments, including any objections to the proposed alteration, stating reasons therefore, are being solicited from anyone having an interest in the requested alteration. Comments should be received by Feb. 7, 2024.
