    Interested parties are hereby notified that a request for permission to alter a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) federal project pursuant to Section 14 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899, 33 U.S.C. 408 (Section 408) has been received and is under evaluation by the Norfolk District. This Section 408 request was submitted by Forebeck I LLC to construct a new timber wharf, boat lift, and boathouse along the Lynnhaven Inlet - Channel to Broad Bay at 2715 Canal Road, Virginia Beach, VA. This project may alter the Channel to Broad Bay portion of the Lynnhaven Inlet Federal Navigation Project. Comments should be received by the close of business on October 22, 2025.

    George Karavolos proposes to remove an existing failing bulkhead and concrete boat ramp, and construct a new 141 linear foot bulkhead so as to create two boat slips by excavating the area behind the failing bulkhead. In addition, the project includes mechanically dredging approximately 220 cubic yards (4,863 square feet) for an access channel and turning basin at a depth not to exceed -3.0 feet below mean low water. The dredged material will be transferred to sealed trucks on-site and disposed of off-site in a lawful manner. The project is located in a man-made canal to Broad Bay, a tributary to the Lynnhaven River, at 2004 English Cedar Circle in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

    Department of Game and Inland Fisheries proposes to realign and improve the navigable entrance of the canal at the entrance to Back Bay from the Princess Anne Wildlife Management Area boat launch facility in Virginia Beach, Va. by reconstructing the recently demolished jetties and dredging fopm outside the jetty to a point inside the entrance of the canal. Bulkhead and riprap propsed to prevent erosion along canal.
