NORFOLK, Va. – Architect-engineer firms are invited to learn more about the Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers workload for fiscal year 2020 and beyond at a special Industry Day next month.

The event is slated for 1 p.m. July 23 at district headquarters on historic Fort Norfolk. It’s located in the Waterfield Building at 803 Front St. in Norfolk.

Norfolk District will present an overview of its anticipated architect-engineer program and the contract vehicles set to follow as a result, officials said.

“It’s a market-research tool,” said Cherie Kunze, the district’s deputy for Small Business Programs and a lead organizer for Industry Day. “This forum will also provide a valuable opportunity for the government to obtain feedback and address specific questions from firms.”

In addition, current indefinitely delivery/indefinite quantity contract holders with Norfolk District will attend for networking opportunities.

Industry Day is open to architect-engineer firms of all sizes. Due to limited space, however, it will be capped at two representatives per company and carpooling is required.

Event registration will take place on Eventbrite only. It’s available at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/norfolk-district-corps-of-engineers-ae-industry-day-tickets-63381118632.
