LTC Reginald Jamo is the Norfolk District deputy commander.

Jamo is a native of Tampa, FL.  He graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and commissioned into the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 2001.  He also holds a Master of Science degree in engineering management from the Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Prior to this assignment, Jamo served as the Deputy Commander for the Area Support Group-Qatar.  

He has also previously served as Operations Officer and Deputy Commander for the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center, Vicksburg, MS; Operations Officer, 8th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, TX; Engineer Plans Officer, III Corps, Fort Hood, TX; Project Engineer, Portland District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; Company Commander, 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, TX; Operations Officer and Logistics Officer, 2nd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, GA; Executive Officer, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 10th Engineer Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, GA; and Platoon Leader, 82nd Engineer Company, 44th Engineer Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, Republic of Korea.

Jamo’s awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and other awards.  He has earned the Air Assault Badge, Parachutist Badge, and Ranger Tab.  He is a recipient of the Bronze Order of the de Fleury Medal.
