    The project consists of new dredging at the HITW channel and the placement of the dredged material at Haven Beach. The applicant’s stated purpose is to allow for safe navigation of vessels utilizing Milford Haven, particularly commercial fishing boats, recreational boats, and the US Coast Guard while also providing beneficial use of the dredged material at a public beach that experiences a high erosion rate of -7 to -8 feet per year. Approximately 40,000 cubic yards of material will be dredged from HITW and deposited along 2,400 linear feet of shoreline at Haven Beach.

    Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wood propose to hydraulically dredge approximately 1608 cubic yards of material within a 21720 square foot area along Kings Creek to achieve maximum depths of minus four (-4.0) feet at mean low water. The purpose of the project is to improve water access to the East River for multiple property owners situated along Kings Creek. The project is located within Kings Creek, a tributary to the East River, and is situated north of Riverview Road and south of Kings Creek Lane in Mathews County, Virginia.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk District, has signed a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) on May 17, 2016 for the project titled, Chesapeake Bay Native Oyster Restoration, Piankatank River, Virginia. The purpose of this project is to construct new reef habitat and rehabilitate existing reef habitat in the lower Piankatank River in Middlesex and Matthews counties that closely resemble natural conditions, in terms of structure and function, in a technically and economically sound manner.
