    WM Jordan Development LLC has proposed the development of a Tech Center and Research Park associated with Jefferson Labs in Newport News, Virginia, on a 106-acre site, that would result in the fill of 6.72 acres of forested wetlands and 705 feet of tributary ditch drainage channel.     Cherry Hill Construction Inc. plans to construct the Interstate 564 Intermodal Connector, a four-lane highway, to improve access to the Norfolk Naval Station and the Norfolk International Terminals and to improve traffic congestion. The entire project is located within the city of Norfolk, within the Willoughby Bay-Mason Creek drainage basin. Public Notice expires Aug. 13, 2015.

  • Lynnhaven Inlet Jetties Public Scoping Meeting

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the city of Virginia Beach announce the initiation of the Lynnhaven Inlet Jetties Study and invite the public to attend a NEPA scoping meeting July 22, from 6-8 p.m., at the Frank W. Cox High School auditorium lobby, 2425 Shorehaven Drive, Virginia Beach, Virginia. Public comment period ends Aug. 31, 2015.

  • NAO-2006-05076 Newport News Atkins Blvd Bridge

    Expiration date: 7/31/2015

    The city of Newport News proposes to construct an approximately 1.2-mile, four-lane divided roadway and bridge over the CSX railroad and Interstate 64 (I-64) with sidewalks and shared-use paths for bicycle and pedestrian access. The project would provide a new east-west transportation link between Jefferson Avenue (Route 143) and Warwick Boulevard (Route 60). Public comment period ends July 31, 2015.
