    The sponsor, Hazeland Farms LLC, proposes to establish the Hazeland Farms Mitigation Bank to offset non-tidal wetland and stream impacts authorized as part of future federal and state permits. The purpose of this notice is to solicit comments and recommendations from the public, federal, state, and local agencies and officials, Indian tribes, and other interested parties concerning the work as described below. All work is to occur in Culpeper County, Virginia.

    Lake Ridge Development-Buchanan, LLC proposes to construct a residential development consisting of 49 multi-family buildings, 31 single-family homes, roads, utilities, and storm water ponds. The Corps identified historic properties within the Corps permit area and determined that the proposed federal action would result in an adverse effect on historic properties listed or eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places.

The project site is located on the south line of Route 21, west of the Rappahannock River, east of Route 229, in Culpeper County, Virginia. Comments should be received by the close of business on December 12, 2024.

    The proposed wetland mitigation bank is located on approximately 52 acres of agricultural land. The site is located south of Route 616, west of Route 674 and directly east of the Warrenton Air Park in Culpeper County, Virginia.The proposed bank site drains to Licking Run which is a tributary of the Potomac River.

    Expiration date: 8/6/2018

    The proposed stream mitigation site is located on approximately 28 acres of agricultural land. The site is located near Mr. Zion Church Road in Culpeper County, Virginia. The proposed bank site drains to the Hazel River which is a tributary of the Rappahannock River.
