This treatment is the backup treatment that did not occur on July 10-16 due to unfavorable conditions.

    Norfolk District receives $328M for Virginia projects

    Last week, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works announced the work plans for two recently enacted laws — the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act; and the 2022 Disaster Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act– which will provide the Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers with an additional $328 million for fiscal year 2022.

  • SUFFOLK, Va. -- A munition uncovered by contractors lays on the ground at the Former Nansemond Ordnance Depot on Dec. 2, 2005. In 1987 the Former Nansemond Ordnance Depot  became a matter of public concern when a piece of crystalline TNT was found at the Tidewater Community College, Portsmouth Campus. Extensive historical research, investigations, and testing led the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to place this site on the National Priority list in 1999.
