  • Proposed Reissuance and Modification of the Norfolk District Regional Permit 22

    Expiration date: 10/26/2012

    The Norfolk District has proposed the reissuance and modification of the Regional Permit 22 (08-RP-22) that is scheduled to expire on Aug. 14, 2013. RP-22 authorizes the activities within the Virginia portion of Lake Gaston. These activities include construction and other actions on piers, docks, boathouses, bulkheads, riptrap, boat slips, channels, aerial powerlines and utility lines. Comment period ends Oct. 26, 2012.

    Weanack Land is requesting a modification of an existing Department of Army permit 03-V0027. The project involves increased dredging activities, a revised Dredged Material Placement Sequence, as well as two new culverts in Shirley Cove, on the east bank of the James River, located on the southern end of Shirley Plantation in Charles City County, Virginia.
