    The applicant is proposing to construct a project known as the Route 58 Vesta project in Patric County, Virginia. The proposed project would construct a four-lane divided highway to replace the existing two-lane configuration of Route 58. The project would provide a continuous four-lane divided highway through Vesta connecting the existing four-lane bypass around Meadows of Dan to the currently under construction four-lane divided highway through Lover’s Leap.

    The applicant for this project is the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). VDOT is proposing to expand the existing Berry Hill Road to 4 lanes from the intersection of Oak Hill Road and Berry Hill road 2.3 mile to the new Berry Hill Connector in Pittsylvania County, VA. The public notice is dated September 30, 2024 and the comment period will end October 30, 2024.

  • NAO-2023-00311 (I-64 Gap A, New Kent County, Virginia)

    Expiration date: 5/9/2024

    Construction of additional travel lanes along I-64 in the first of three “Gap” segments that will adjoin segments of I-64 that have a minimum of six travel lanes. The proposed addition of a third travel lane in each direction will increase connectivity between Richmond and Hampton Roads. Public comments should be received by the close of business on May 9, 2024.

    The Norfolk District Regulatory Branch is proposing to hold monthly meetings for Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Design-Build contractors (post-award) and localities operating under the VDOT Locally Administered Projects (LAP) Program. These meetings will occur on the second Monday of each the month, from 1-2pm, beginning May 13, 2024.
