    The proposed project includes the construction of a 4.5-mile section of the Fall Line Trail between Woodman Road and the southern terminus of the Trolley Line Trail in Henrico County, Hanover County, and the Town of Ashland, Virginia. Public comment should be received by the close of business on December 6, 2023.

    The Sponsor proposes to design, construct, establish, and operate a stream and wetland compensatory mitigation site known as the Henrico County New Market Park Site (Bank). The Bank is proposed to be included in a single-user Umbrella Mitigation Banking Instrument (UMBI). The proposed compensatory mitigation site is located south of New Market Road (Route 5) and north of Buffin Road and Kingsland Road in Henrico County, Virginia. The purpose of the Bank is to provide off-site compensatory mitigation for projects that result in unavoidable impacts to wetlands within Henrico County. Public comments should be received by the close of business on November 5, 2023.

The purpose of the compensatory mitigation project is to provide off-site compensatory mitigation for projects that result in unavoidable impacts to wetlands and other waters of the United States. Public comments should be received by the close of business on December 9, 2022.

    The Project would widen the existing undivided two-lane RHT to four-lanes divided with curb and gutter and a raised median. The area of disturbance outside of the existing pavement is 19.86 acres. The Project’s total length is approximately 6,100 feet. Turn lanes would be provided for connecting roadways, streets, and driveways throughout the corridor where a raised median is proposed.
