GIS Supports Sandy Response
BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Katy Batista, a Norfolk District Geographic Information Systems specialist, goes over a product she created to assist mission managers determine the best way forward in how to direct on the ground activities for the Hurricane Sandy response efforts. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has more than 3,000 employees from the North Atlantic Division with an additional 990 team members deployed from other USACE divisions across the Nation engaged to support the response mission.
