    The Sponsor is proposing 7.53 acres of wetland re-establishment, 90.84 acres of wetland rehabilitation, 0.09 acres of wetland preservation, 8.13 acres of wetland buffer rehabilitation, 0.45 acres of wetland buffer preservation, and 2.64 acres of upland buffer preservation. The Sponsor proposes to generate a total of 106.33 non-tidal wetland credits via hydrologic and landscape modification and vegetation planting for the purpose of providing off-site compensatory mitigation for unavoidable impacts to waters of the U.S. associated with DA permits within the proposed Geographic Service Area (GSA). The Norfolk District will receive written comments on the proposed activity until July 9, 2026.

  • NAO-2021-02695 (QTS RIC 5, Henrico, Virginia)

    QTS Richmond V, LLC requests authorization to expand the existing QTS RIC5 data center campus within the White Oak Technology Park in Sandston, Virginia, by constructing Data Center Building 5 (DC-5), which will include the construction of DC-5 and its associated infrastructure including utilities, technologies, parking facilities and stormwater management facilities. The project will result in impacts to approximately 4.29-acres of palustrine forested wetlands. The applicant proposes to construct a PRM site, known as the QTS RIC 5 PRM Site, that will be located on a 10.9-acre site and result in 8.32 wetland credits to offset unavoidable impacts.

    The sponsor, Naturion, proposes to establish the Upper Roanoke Mitigation Bank to offset non-tidal wetland and stream impacts authorized as part of future federal and state permits. The purpose of this notice is to solicit comments and recommendations from the public, federal, state, and local agencies and officials, Indian tribes, and other interested parties concerning the work as described below.
