    Interested parties are hereby notified that a request for permission to alter a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) federal project pursuant to Section 14 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899, 33 U.S.C. 408 (Section 408) has been received and is under evaluation by the Norfolk District. This Section 408 request was submitted by the Town of Chincoteague Town Manager to remove existing pilings and mooring slips and construct a new 15 slip, 120-foot-wide and 72-foot-long floating dock system at the Town-owned Robert Reed Park along Chincoteague Inlet (Inner Channel). This project may alter the Chincoteague Inlet (Inner Channel) Federal Navigation Project. Comments should be received by the close of business on April 9, 2026.

    Interested parties are hereby notified that a request for permission to alter a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) federal project pursuant to Section 14 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899, 33 U.S.C. 408 (Section 408) has been received and is under evaluation by the Norfolk District. This Section 408 request was submitted by the Accomack County Public Works Department to install a new 117 linear foot vinyl bulkhead up to 1.5-feet channelward of the existing bulkhead along the north side of the Deep Creek (Accomack County) Federal Navigation Project turning Basin. This project may alter the Deep Creek (Accomack County) Federal Navigation Project. Comments should be received by the close of business on April 2, 2026.

    Interested parties are hereby notified that a request for permission to alter a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) federal project pursuant to Section 14 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899, 33 U.S.C. 408 (Section 408) has been received and is under evaluation by the Norfolk District. This Section 408 request was submitted by 11th Street LC to repair and replace portions of the Virginia Beach Fishing Pier that sustained damage during Hurricane Erin. This project may alter the Virginia Beach Erosion Control and Hurricane Protection Project (VBHPP). Comments should be received by the close of business on March 30, 2026.

    Interested parties are hereby notified that a request for permission to alter a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) federal project pursuant to Section 14 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899, 33 U.S.C. 408 (Section 408) has been received and is under evaluation by the Norfolk District. This Section 408 request was submitted by Vulcan Materials (c/o Mr. Lewis Myers) for the Vulcan Materials Westminster Avenue Pier Addition & Repair Project including the repair and rehabilitation of the existing concrete pier piles by installing fiberglass jackets and grout and new work with the installation of two pile supported, concrete additions landward of the existing concrete pier (860 SF). All of the work to be completed by barge along the Eastern Branch Elizabeth River. This project may alter the Norfolk Harbor and Channels Federal Navigation Project – Eastern Branch Elizabeth River. Comments should be received by the close of business on January 2, 2026.

This Section 408 request was submitted by Captain Dan's Island Tours, c/o Mr. Dan Davis, to install a new 95 linear foot floating dock system along Chincoteague Inlet Inner Channel at 4161 Main Street, Chincoteague, VA. This project may alter the Chincoteague Inlet Inner Channel Federal Navigation Project. Comments should be received by the close of business on January 2, 2026.
