    Fort Myer Construction proposes improvements to the intersection of Braddock Road and Pleasant Valley Road in Fairfax County, Virginia, consisting of a roundabout, a right turn by-pass lane with associated crosswalks and curb ramps for pedestrians, and stormwater controls. The purpose of the improvements is to alleviate congestion in the area. Public comment period ends Jan. 5, 2015.

    Branch Highways, in consultation with VDOT, is proposing to complete the final phase of a three-part expansion on Route 3 from the Orange County line to the Route 3/Route 522 intersection. The applicant is proposing to widen the two-lane road to a four-lane divided highway. The purpose of the widening project is to improve traffic safety along the heavily traveled corridor between the city of Fredericksburg and the town of Culpeper. Public comment period ends Dec. 19, 2014.

  • Buckroe Beach Formerly Used Defense Site Comment Period and Public Meeting

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is proposing placing land use controls, such as signs, training and education materials, for the Buckroe Beach Formerly Used Defense Site in Hampton, Virginia. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites the community to attend a public meeting to learn more about the site and proposed plan. Public comment period ends Dec. 24, 2014.

    Liberty University, LLC proposes to permanently impact 1.14 acres of palustrine forested wetlands in order to expand the existing "Athletic Precinct" of the campus in the City of Lynchburg, Virginia. The approximately 6.3 acre property is located within the existing Liberty University Main Campus boundaries. Public comment period ends Dec. 6, 2014.
