    Shirly Contracting Company, LLC propses to widen existing Route 7 from four lanes to six lanes for 3.3 miles from Reston Avenue to Colvin Run Road. In addition, the proposed work will include intersection improvements, bridge replacement over Difficult Run, shared use paths, utility relocations, stormwater management and noise attenuation. The work will require relocating 1,600 linear feet of Colvin Run which runs parallel to Route 7.

The project will impact 1.78 acres of palustrine emergent wetlands (PEM), 0.02 acres of palustrine forested wetlands (PFO), 0.49 acres of palustrine open water (POW) and 104 linear feet of stream channel. Temporary impacts associated with this development are 0.36 acre of PEM and 475 linear feet of stream channel for utility lines and the extension of Sunrise Valley Drive conspan bridge. The project is located in Horsepen Run a tributary to the Potomac River, at 13801 Frying Pan Road, Herndon, Virginia. (Parcel 024201001)

    FAM Construction, LLC (Pablo Molla Ruiz) proposes to extend the I-66 corridor approximately 22.5 miles from the interchange of US Route 29 (Lee Highway) in Gainesville, Prince William County, to the I-495 interchange in Fairfax County. The proposal includes impacts to 5.73 acres of wetlands and 8,852 linear feet of stream. The applicant is proposing compensatory mitigation in the form of permitee responsible mitigation at 2 sites (the Keaton and Wancopin sites). The public comment period ends 4 September 2018.
