  • NAO-2020-02449 (Olga Sauer Industrial, Henrico County, Virginia)

    Expiration date: 4/24/2026

    Olga Propco, LLC is proposing an undertaking to construct a new 56.0-acre industrial storage warehouse facility. The applicant’s stated purpose and need is to construct an industrial storage warehouse facility with supporting infrastructure to support the growing need and demand for logistic distribution facilities for the storage and shipment of goods in the Richmond metro area. The project will adversely affect three (3) individual archaeological sites identified as Civil War era earthworks as well as Darbytown Road & New Market Battlefield, Darbytown Road Battlefield, and Fair Oaks & Darbytown Road Battlefield. In compliance with regulation implementation Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), the Norfolk District is soliciting comments on the proposed project from the public; federal, state, and local agencies and officials; Native American Tribes; and other interested parties. This public notice provides an opportunity for members of the public to express their views on the undertaking’s effects on historic properties and resolution of adverse effects.

  • 408-NAO-2026-0018 (Town of Chincoteague Downtown Floating Dock)

    Interested parties are hereby notified that a request for permission to alter a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) federal project pursuant to Section 14 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899, 33 U.S.C. 408 (Section 408) has been received and is under evaluation by the Norfolk District. This Section 408 request was submitted by the Town of Chincoteague Town Manager to remove existing pilings and mooring slips and construct a new 15 slip, 120-foot-wide and 72-foot-long floating dock system at the Town-owned Robert Reed Park along Chincoteague Inlet (Inner Channel). This project may alter the Chincoteague Inlet (Inner Channel) Federal Navigation Project. Comments should be received by the close of business on April 9, 2026.
  • NAO-2020-01368 (Mill Race Mitigation Bank, Fauquier County, Virginia)

    Expiration date: 4/23/2026

    The sponsor, HGS, LLC, proposes to establish the Mill Race Mitigation Bank to offset non-tidal wetland and stream impacts authorized as part of future federal and state permits. The purpose of this notice is to solicit comments and recommendations from the public, federal, state, and local agencies and officials, Indian tribes, and other interested parties concerning the work as described below. All work is to occur in Fauquier County, Virginia.
  • 408-NAO-2026-0015 (Deep Creek Dock Bulkhead Replacement Project)

    Interested parties are hereby notified that a request for permission to alter a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) federal project pursuant to Section 14 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899, 33 U.S.C. 408 (Section 408) has been received and is under evaluation by the Norfolk District. This Section 408 request was submitted by the Accomack County Public Works Department to install a new 117 linear foot vinyl bulkhead up to 1.5-feet channelward of the existing bulkhead along the north side of the Deep Creek (Accomack County) Federal Navigation Project turning Basin. This project may alter the Deep Creek (Accomack County) Federal Navigation Project. Comments should be received by the close of business on April 2, 2026.
  • NAO-2026-00009 (Conservation Easement Template, Virginia)

    Expiration date: 4/17/2026

    The Norfolk District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) and the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) completed a review of the current Conservation Easement (CE) template for use with Third-Party Mitigation Compensation sites (Mitigation Banks and In-Lieu-Fee Programs) within the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a result of that review, the Corps and DEQ drafted revisions to the CE template. The purpose of this public notice is to solicit comments from the public regarding the revised CE template.
