    Field of Streams Mitigation, LLC, proposes to establish a stream and wetland mitigation bank in Fauquier County, VA. The proposed bank site is an approximately 45-acres site located along Elk Run Road and Tenerife Road, southeast of the community of Catlett, Fauquier County, Virginia. The Site contains unnamed tributaries to Cedar Run, in the Potomac River Basin.

    The sponsor plans to design, construct, establish, and operate the Cascade Mitigation Bank. They aim to generate 13,353 stream credits through stream restoration (9,658 linear feet) and stream buffer reestablishment (96 acres). Additionally, they propose generating 4.91 non-tidal wetland credits through non-tidal wetland restoration (4.2 acres) and upland buffer reestablishment (9.7 acres). The bank will provide off-site compensatory mitigation for projects with unavoidable impacts to U.S. waters, including wetlands and streams.

    The Sponsor proposes to design, construct, establish, and operate Hogue Creek Mitigation Bank (Bank). The Sponsor is proposing to generate 11,596 stream credits through a combination of stream restoration (3,864 linear feet), stream enhancement (522 linear feet) stream buffer rehabilitation (30.2 acres), livestock exclusion (9,191 linear feet), and threatened and endangered species habitat creation. Additionally, the Sponsor is proposing to generate 39.2 non-tidal wetland credits through non-tidal wetland restoration (37 acres), non-tidal wetland enhancement (0.03 acres), and upland buffer rehabilitation (4.02 acres). The purpose of the Bank is to provide off-site compensatory mitigation for projects that result in unavoidable impacts to waters of the U.S. including wetlands and streams. Comments should be received by the close of business on August 21, 2024.
