    WeldenField of Virginia proposes to construct two road crossings of jurisdictional waters (streams) for access to construct a subdivision at Endview Plantation. Comments should be received by the close of business on May 15, 2025.

    The applicant for this project is the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). VDOT is proposing to expand the existing Berry Hill Road to 4 lanes from the intersection of Oak Hill Road and Berry Hill road 2.3 mile to the new Berry Hill Connector in Pittsylvania County, VA. The public notice is dated September 30, 2024 and the comment period will end October 30, 2024.

    Amazon Data Services, Inc. proposes the construction of a data center and associated infrastructure, including parking, internal roads, two substations, and one stormwater pond. The Corps in consultation with the SHPO determined that the proposed federal action will result in an adverse effect on site 44LS0298 and that with the implementation of minimization efforts outlined in the Assessment of Effects for Laurel Hill Baptist Church (dated April 23, 2024) will not adversely affect 054-5530. The Corps is consulting further to develop and evaluate alternatives or modifications to the undertaking that could avoid, minimize, or mitigate adverse effects on historic properties. Comments should be received by the close of business on June 27, 2024.

    Brookfield Washington, LLC proposes to construct a multi-user residential development to be known as Snowden Bridge. The Corps in consultation with the SHPO has determined that the proposed federal action would result in an adverse effect on the Milburn Rural District (034-5035), the Byers House (034-1124), and the Battle of Stephenson’s Depot (034-0720). The Corps is consulting further to develop and evaluate alternatives or modifications to the undertaking that could avoid, minimize, or mitigate adverse effects on historic properties. Comments should be received by the close of business May 27, 2024.
